X-men fic: In the Beginning (AU): Chapter 2

Aww, wonderful chapter. I loved Xavior's point of view. You did such a great job of keeping the storyline going from the first chapter, but still keeping the point of view completely seperate from the first one. :) I loved the conflicting emotions from Xavior. The professor in him knowing Scott was probably the best - if only - option for going to find Wolverine, but the father in him not wanting Scott to go. Very sweet. I loved how he finally gave in and gave his consent, knowing how important it was to Scott, and knowing that Scott would go anyway. Great story.

The professor in him knowing Scott was probably the best - if only - option for going to find Wolverine, but the father in him not wanting Scott to go.

Exactly hon. The father son dynamic between these two mega mutants is just.. whew. It's gorgeous, makes my heart ache. And since I just realized you've reviewed all the chapters.. I'm REALLY glad you're reading *hugs* :)

I'm reading this verse (again) and I just wanted to take the time to thank you for writing this little Scott/Xavier interaction chapter. I find any father/son interaction between the two of them quite endearing, and you never see enough of it in fics (or movies, darn). I've been toying around with a Scott/Xavier ficlet myself, so we'll see what will come of it. Thanks again for writing this, and I hope you continue with this verse soon. :)

Thank you so much sweetie *hugs*. Your comment is making me smile like crazy :) I will try to find my muse and update sometime next month when workload becomes a little more manageable. And hey you should definitely write that Scott/Xavier fic! :)

Amazing analytical representation of Charles. There's much going on in his mind, more so than he ever expresses, in how he analyzes all the situations and human interactions around himself, and you've managed to show that along with giving him a bit of a biting sense of humor.

I view Charles as regretting his find of Logan in Cerebro, as it is providing Scott with a direction in which to be useful and in command, and leading him away from the school.

I also noticed in the third movie, as bad as it was, Storm may have been appointed leader, but Logan was the one who ultimately lead the team during the final fight. That doesn't say much for Storm's leadership skills outside of teaching and caring for the school and I wonder if Charles is aware of this.

Overall, the awareness and actions of the characters driving the plot is fantastic.
