NCIS: Ziva kisses Tony

Tired and uninspired.

1. Letter to a whiny young Democrat
Good read. Even for non-Americans, this commentary on the fickleness of the voting youth is true everywhere in general.

2. So all speculations about my recent singleness and on-again-off-again-disillusionment with SPN aside, here are my thoughts on NCIS.. this effin show effin rocks! Michael Weatherly is adorable to a fault, I never realized how refreshing this lack of angst could be, and the best part is, there's 8 years worth of fanfic, 80% of which is centered around Tony Dinozzo! I mean, come on! How am I supposed to effin resist! :D Doesn't mean I'll start writing NCIS fic anytime soon tho. It's like with Harry Potter. I read voraciously, but there are so many great authors out there already doing such a great job that I feel no need, or no void to try and fill with my own stories. Which is what I do with SPN.

3. And talking about writing.. actually, that's all I seem to be able to do these days. just TALK about it, think about it, hope to get some done but never actually doing any. *sighs*. Regardless of fandom, I just don't seem to want to write anymore. Dunno what's wrong, I just feel completely tapped out, uninspired, and of late more than content to read NCIS and HP fics instead. Not good. Am open to suggestions if anyone has any.

Sorry I can understand how impassioned you guys must be. And like I was telling real above, of course this demographic isn't he only one responsible but it seems to largely stand out because they've been so supportive before and are so.. Not supportive now heh. But about all the rest.. yeah I'm sure you have a better idea of how its going for the Obama administration. I just think the expectations the man is saddled with are just ridiculously unrealistic.

Um hey hon, I hope you're not mad at me for posting this link? I kind of actually really enjoyed the article because of the snarkiness hehe.. I probably wouldn't know the first thing about how accurate its contents were. *sheepish* Hope the stomping on flowers helped a little? ;) *hugs*

OMG, sweetie, of course I'm not mad at you for posting a link, and I totally get what the guy is saying, but the kids weren't the only one to believe what this guy was selling. I'm not saying he's worse than any other politician - I just don't think he's better, either. I agree, that people's expectations are unrealistic, but then what's he's given hasn't been what he was selling, either. And I wouldn't exactly call me impassioned, LOL - more like resigned. I'm tired of big govenment thinking the people are too stupid to make their own decisions - I live in an area where they're trying to get the kids' toys banned from Happy Meals (because OMG, the kids will want the toys so badly that parents will absolutely be unable to say 'no' if they don't want their kids to have it). I mean, seriously? Okay, Americans don't have trouble with their weight because they're stupid and they don't know what they're eating isn't good for them. Americans have trouble because the culture and economy dictates that both parents work, and sometimes barely have an hour or two with their kids before they go to bed, and so are they really to be faulted for choosing convenient and cheap over a more expensive trip to the grocery store and spending their time cooking? Cam was saying just yesterday that studies show 1000 calories of healthy food to be around $18, and 1000 calories of junk food is $1.74. It's a struggle for people, especially those who work ten and twelve hour days (which a lot of people have no choice but to do, because if you're not being laid-off, then you're absorbing the work of the people who have, and hey, you might be next).

And okay, obviously I need to cut back on my caffeine. But, I just hate seeing time and money being spent on what I see as ridiculous measures when we have such larger issues to deal with. Fixing the economy (does anyone *really* understand how the economy actually works, anyway?) would be an enormous help, but then I think it's going to be time to think about what we really want American life to be about, and to mean. Is it going to be about bigger homes and bigger cars and fancy vacations and big spending (and don't get me wrong, I like these things!), or is it going to be about making some sacrifices to have a better *quality* life? And for heaven's sake, can we legalize pot and pass gay marriage already? WTH?

Um, okay, I'm done. Sorry! :( But as for the writing, sweetie, I'm sorry you're feeling uninspired. Totally know the feeling. But if NCIS is exciting you right now, just keep reading! Maybe you'll have a thought or an idea and you just won't be able to stop yourself from writing a fic about it. Because that's the way it should be, right? You should *want* to write it? :) But I do love your stories, and will be waiting for you to post another, whenever you do. *hugs* :)

I think its great that you still do feel somewhat strongly about what is obviously a grave concern for this country hon. Better than the apathy I've noticed in many other folks that I met recently in DC of all places.

NCIS really does make me happy these days heh :) I feel pressured to write because I still have a bunch of WIPs to finish and these damn (awesome!) NCIS reruns are keeping me from getting to them hehe. But I'll just wait for inspiration to strike and if it doesn't, well, too bad.

Hope your muse is treating you better than mine! :) *hugs*
